My Dogs & Me

.Home Contact Me How It All Began

Becky Liscum Rosson

I moved to East Texas in 1989 with my husband, 5 children, ages 5-9, and 2 dogs.  I began showing a smooth coat Chihuahua, "Country," and a Bouvier des Flandres, "Nobless Oblige," but after two years in a local all breed club and 1 year of showing, family responsibilities made me postpone re-entering the show ring.  My dogs and I made another entrance into the ring in 1998, and we love it.  I began, this time, with CH Liscum's Yosemite Samantha, bred by my mother, Anne Liscum.  Sam was absolutely the most fun dog ever to exhibit.  Showing herself, she was not afraid of anything, and her zest for competition and life is unmatched.

My pride and joy is CH Liscum's Odie, my red tri-color long coat.  All of my dogs are loved by my children, now grown, their friends and family, one granddaughter, and my students in the elementary classroom.  No dogs of mine are placed in a kennel; they live with me in my home.   They are like my family.  They are handled by many people at an early age, make frequent road trips with me, and results in well socialized dogs.
